Satanic Influences Are They in Your Daily Life?

Word of the Day: Influences

A power indirectly or intangibly affecting a person or event.

Satanic influences come in so many different ways and they come to the young, the old, the rich, and the poor, which means that nobody is exempt from them. Satan will use any tool to manipulate your life and this is why is so important to read the Word of God to our children. Satan could use religion, the way we dress, our traditions, the way we think… Sooner or later if you are not careful you'll be accepting that as a normal way of life and it is sad to think that you will be passing it to generations to come.

In this post, I will give you two different aspects of the tactics Satan will use to influence our lives.

1. Religion: I will tell you that this is Satan's favorite subject, if we are not careful we could be faithfully going to church and still not advancing for the Lord. We could be in a church where the priest or the pastor preaches a sermon without a Bible, that reminds so much of me attending the Catholic church as I was growing up. As a Catholic, I was required to do so many works (baptism, 1st communion…) in order to call myself a Catholic. As an adult, I became Christian at a Pentecostal church and there I was told that I needed to speak in tongues or have some talent or gift in order to fulfill myself as a Christian. So, this is how Satan works in those churches and if you are not careful you will find yourself in there trying to fit in when in fact the only requirement you need is to accept Jesus' Christ as your personal savior. If you are in a church that requires so many works then it is time for you to move out and find a church that preaches that Word of God. Don't forget that Satan wants you to be comfortable in a religion where there will be no growth.

Romans 10:9-10

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

One last thought about the satanic influences in the churches, remember that when the Lord gave you the gift of salvation there will never be another work to do to complete that salvation because He Himself said it on the Cross, it is finished. What does come later is holiness, but not to earn salvation.

John 19:30

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

1 Peter 1:16

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

2. Gothic Lifestyle: Have you ever seen teenagers dress in black or sometimes older people? I grew up watching teenagers being attractive to that type of style back in high school. As a parent you might think is a normal thing and that is just a style passing through the teenage life, sad but that is not true. Have you ever thought about what is behind all that? The more I think about the gothic style the more I realize that it reminds me so much about the Gadarene demoniac who was healed by Jesus. This demoniac person was a person who was attractive to dark spirits, he lived in the cemetery with the dead people. Living with the dead people was his comfort zone and up until this point, Satan had won the battle. This Gadarene lived there day and night as he was not accepted to live with the rest of society because he was totally under the control of Satan.

He had the strength and the Bible says: "and no man could bind him" the locals had tied him to chains or shackles but that did not work because he would turn them into pieces. I assume that he represented a danger to society because why would you tight someone with chains if that person would never harm you.

Mark 5:1-5

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tomb…

Isaiah 65:3-4

A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

The gothic lifestyle also welcomes tattoos or self-mutilation to the body. Just remember that our body is the temple of God and one day we will be in his presence and be accountable for what we did with our bodies. If you are someone who has tattoos you are still welcome into the family of God, just repent from your sins and you will be on your way to heaven when you die.

Walking naked or dwelling with death is not a normal thing I have seen many crimes on television based on true crimes and even the experts say that every time a body is found naked is because that person has been murdered and not committed suicide. Why is that? our bodies are sacred, even the unsaved people know it although would never admit it. No human would suicide themselves naked don't know why but it just doesn't happen.

Mark 5:5

…crying, and cutting himself with stones.

When Jesus asked his name he called himself Legion, what is a legion? a legion was a Roman army unit consisting of as many as six thousand soldiers, that is how many devils he had controlling his body.

Mark 5:9

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

Psalm 139:24

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Conclusion: These are just a few signs of what the devil can do to you when you are under the bondage of satanic influences. Pay attention to your self and see if there is a sign, they might not be similar to point 1 or 2. The only way to find out is by reading God's Word only the Word of God could set you free. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:9–13
